The presentation of Red Bull Racing’s twentieth anniversary car was the last in the off-season and took place under very unusual circumstances. Team manager Christian Horner was investigated for inappropriate behaviour, everyone wondered whether he would appear at the presentation – and he did.
Photos from the presentation appeared online several hours before the stated time – the material was pre-recorded so they had time to edit. The presentation of the RB20 was broadcast on social networks and was quite traditional. Journalists were asked not to ask about the Horner investigation – for now the information is closed.

After achieving the maximum possible result for the first time last year – first and second places in the individual competition, and again winning the Constructors’ Championship ahead of schedule, the team cannot set itself any other goals. Success will only be another victory.

We have been lucky on a number of occasions and seven world titles, six constructors’ championships and 113 race wins are testament to the success of Red Bull’s vision for the team. A new chapter of this story begins today with the RB20.
There is a busy season ahead, but the team is working to its limits and Max and Sergio are able to achieve results on any track and in any conditions. I am confident that we can once again fight for podiums, victories and hopefully the championship title.”

Max Verstappen: “We are here in Milton Keynes to unveil the Red Bull RB20. The presentation of a new car is always exciting because we see the results of the enormous work of the entire team.
Before the start of this season I have the same mentality as before the start of the last one. I’m happy to be back behind the wheel. We will soon find out how competitive our car is. Last year we had an incredible season because we won so many races and broke many records. It will be difficult to repeat something like this in 2024, but that is not the goal.
Of course we want to win and become champions, but this does not necessarily mean that we set new records.
The team has been in Formula 1 for twenty years, and I have been part of it for half of that time. For me, Red Bull Racing became the second family I grew up in. I am interested in what other results we can achieve together in the future.
My first impressions of the car? It looks great, but the most important thing is that the RB20 is fast. We have been working to make it so and will continue this work during the testing in Bahrain.”
Sergio Perez: “This year, most riders will want to decide on their contract as early as possible. I’m focused on having a successful season, and everything else will take care of itself. As long as you show results on the track, there are no problems.
I’m not bothered by all kinds of rumors. My main goal is to succeed on the court. I’ve been in this business for years, so I know how everything works. Now all these rumors bother me much less than before. The most important thing is to try to enjoy the racing, and everything else will work itself out.
It’s going to be a very busy start to the season, so I’m still focused on the first races and haven’t thought about long-term plans yet. I don’t want to impose time limits on myself. Now it is important to achieve the maximum possible in the first five races.
Thinking and talking about the future will drain my energy, and I don’t want to be distracted. I play for a great team. Let’s see what awaits us. Ideally I would like to spend a few more years at Red Bull.
I am confident thanks to the experience I gained last year. It is important to learn from mistakes. I’m entering my fourth season with Red Bull and I expect to be in my best shape. It is important to take advantage of every opportunity and progress throughout the year.
There is a long season ahead of us, so it is not important how we start in Bahrain, but what position I am in at the finish in Abu Dhabi. My goal for this year is to continuously improve.”
