The organizers announced the line-up of Le Mans participants

The organizers of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will be held this year from June 15 to 16, have announced a provisional entry list, including Daniil Kvyat, Robert Schwartzman and MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi.

This year, nine manufacturers are represented in the top class of the hypercars LMH and LMDh. In addition to last year’s winners from Ferrari, the teams from Toyota, Peugeot, Porsche, BMW, Cadillac, Alpine, Lamborghini and Isotta Fraschini will compete in this category. The last three cars on this list will make their first appearance at Le Mans.

Ferrari, Cadillac and Porsche Penske will field three cars each: Toyota, Peugeot, BMW and Alpine – two each. The teams Lamborghini, Proton Porsche, Isotta Fraschini and Jota Porsche will be represented with one car.

In Lamborghini, the team of Mirko Bortolotti, Daniil Kvyat and Edoardo Mortara will appear at the start of Le Mans. The Ferrari 499P will be driven by Robert Kubica, Robert Schwartzman and Yifei Ye as part of the AF Corse crew.

Although there will be no LMP2 class in the World Endurance Championship this season, the category will be represented at Le Mans by 16 cars, many of which will compete in this year’s European Le Mans Series.

The GT class for the 2024 race has been moved from GTE to GT3 specification. This year’s race in the renamed LMGT3 class will feature 23 teams, including seven-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi in the WRT crew driving a BMW M4.

Mohammed bin SulayemFIA President: “The entry list looks incredibly strong, with 23 hypercars from nine different manufacturers topping the field of 62, and 23 LMGT3 cars promising incredible competition in the GT class.

“Endurance racing is in good form and the entry list proves that the right approach to regulation is driving interest and competition.”
