On the first day of testing in Bahrain, both drivers worked at Ferrari in the morning – Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz led the afternoon session. At the end of the day they summarized the work in comments for the Scuderia press office.
Carlos Sainz (3rd): “The first day of testing, when it was possible to control the speed of the car, is over. The team had a productive day as they managed to complete the entire program as expected.
I did a few long laps and we started fine-tuning the car. Good day, we did everything we wanted. Now we need to analyze the data and understand how we can make it go faster and faster.”
Charles Leclerc (7th): “I did a lot of laps in the morning and we did everything we planned – this is a good sign. Now we need to analyze the collected data to understand whether all the numbers match our expectations. The work is just beginning.”
