Haas F1 was again behind in the test protocol, but is optimistic about the sequel…
Ayo Komatsuteam leader: “Today we continued the program of working with rubber and more fuel that we started yesterday.
In the morning Niko got behind the wheel and although the session had to end early, we gathered information. After lunch Kevin took over the wheel, he drove for five hours, we got some important data, so I’m happy.
Tomorrow we will change the program a bit, I’m looking forward to another productive day of testing.”
Kevin Magnussen: “Another good day for us, we focused on a long distance with enough fuel, solving last year’s problems. We have made some progress, there is still a lot of work to do, we are moving in the right direction.
It’s hard to judge our speed. I will be surprised if we are faster than last year, but we are clearly doing better with the tires.”
Nico Hulkenberg: “Everything went well yesterday, but this morning the program had to be interrupted due to track problems, we lost some time, but so far so good.
We have already done well, we have taken a step forward compared to a year ago, but it will still be difficult for us.”
