Hamilton: We have made progress with the W15

On Thursday, Lewis Hamilton worked all day on the pre-season tests in Bahrain. The Mercedes driver gave his first impressions of the 2024 car and agreed with teammate George Russell that the W15 is better to drive than last year’s W14.

Lewis Hamilton (3rd): “It was a productive day. We learned a lot about the W15, both in the long and short term. It’s clear that progress has been made: this year’s car is much more fun to drive.

Thank you to everyone at Brackley and Brixworth for all the effort they have put into this over the past year. I am very grateful to them for their hard work.

Of course, we still need to make progress, but we have a foundation for further work. We will continue our efforts on the remaining test day and next week. I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel tomorrow morning and continuing my learning.”
