Jean Todt, one of the best friends of Michael Schumacher and his family, shared some information about the seven-time world champion’s condition, which is extremely rare.
After the tragic incident on a ski slope in the French Alps in late December 2013, in which Schumacher suffered a serious head injury, there is little reliable information about his health – the family has deliberately put up some sort of information block and is trying not to allow any leaks.
Jean Todt, former Ferrari team principal and ex-FIA president, is one of the few people to visit the Swiss estate of the Schumacher family, and yesterday in Cologne he took part in the ceremony of the awarding of the state prize awarded to the governor of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Instead of Michael, the award was received by his wife Corinna and daughter Gina.
Communicating with reporters from the NTV television channel in Cologne, Todt literally said the following: “I don’t miss Michael, because I can see him. But of course I miss the things we’ve done with him in the past. But he is aware of what is happening now in Formula 1, I watch the race with Michael, it is true.
And I’m very happy for his son, who scored points in the previous two races in a row. Mick had to endure strong pressure, because the criticism of him was unjustified. I sincerely wish him the opportunity to drive the best car in the championship. Then he can fight for race wins and titles.”
