Shortly before the pre-season tests, Charles Leclerc delighted his fans when he showed the world the fruits of his musical creativity, created in collaboration with French pianist and composer Sofien Pamar.
We talked about the fact that the Ferrari driver released a mini-album Dreamers a week ago, and now he shared some details related to this project.
Charles Leclerc: “Everything was done very quickly. The winter break is long and I have trained a lot and also spent a lot of time at the team base in Maranello. But when I had a day and a half free, I went to Paris to meet Sofien.
He’s a good friend of mine, and we started discussing a joint project together and at first we wanted to record just one composition, but in the end four things were recorded. And that in just a day and a half.
It was a very interesting experience and I really enjoyed it. Although I have always loved music, it is understandable that I never have enough time for this activity, given how well I have mastered the technique of playing the piano. But I am a very creative person, and now a wonderful pianist, Sofien Paramar, has helped make my plans come true. It was really cool because moments like these help you disconnect from racing – sometimes you have to do that.”
Since Charles’ new partner in the Ferrari team next year is Lewis Hamilton, who is also interested in music but is in no hurry to demonstrate his achievements in this field, Leclerc was naturally asked if they could expect to join forces and record an album together.
“To be honest, I’m not sure! – Charles replied laughing. “We were even talking about these topics once, and Lewis said he loves music, but I will probably talk to him next year about possible creative collaboration.”
