In mid-April, the double round of the World Electric Car Racing Championship will be held for the first time on the Italian circuit in Misano, located on the Adriatic coast.
This circuit is known to fans because it regularly hosts MotoGP stages, endurance races, but also Ferrari Challenge competitions, stages of the DTM touring car championship and some youth series, especially the Italian F4.
The Marco Simoncelli circuit is located in the province of Rimini; it was opened more than half a century ago, in 1972. Since 2007 it has been included in the MotoGP calendar, allowing the Italian public to repeatedly witness the victories of the legendary Valentino of Russia, who became world champion nine times during his career .
For Formula E, the circuit configuration is 3.381 km long, with 14 corners and several straights, and the movement is organized counterclockwise. At first glance, the configuration of the ring seems quite organic, the speeds there should be quite high, and there are also overtaking opportunities.
The Misano circuit will host the first race of the electric series on April 13, with the second the following day; these are the 6th and 7th stages of the season.
