There has been no news about Mattia Binotto, the former head of the Ferrari team, for a long time, but today the Italian press reported that he now holds the position of general manager of TEXA and is on the board.
The company was founded more than thirty years ago and has grown into one of the world leaders in the production of diagnostic equipment for cars and motorcycles. Binotto is in charge of coordinating a new division called E-Powertrain – it specializes in the development of various components for electric vehicles: modern, highly efficient electric motors, inverters, power sources and the complete software package. Moreover, we are mainly talking about special components intended for racing and sports electric vehicles.
Binotto commented on the decision to start a new company: “It is not only my experience in motorsport, because this is the field to which my whole life has been dedicated, but I am attracted by the daring project of TEXA, the strategic vision of this Italian company, which strives for excellence in the most advanced areas.
The company plans to set new technological standards on a global scale, for which it has mobilized huge financial resources and attracted the most talented specialists. All these forces will be concentrated in Italy, where there is a developed car culture…”
It is not known whether Binotto will devote all his time to the new company or whether he will combine it with some other projects.
