Presentations that take place under the Ferrari brand are not only the presentation of new models of racing cars or road sports cars, but also a fashion show.
Yesterday, designer Rocco Iannone, who made his name while working at the fashion house Armani, presented his autumn 2024 collection, and Formula 1 team drivers also played a certain role in this project.
On its pages on social networks, the Ferrari press service published a few days ago a funny video in which Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who were in the Ferrari Store boutique, were instructed to collect items from the new collection as quickly as possible among the riches to find as possible and wear them. Rocco Iannone himself saw them running around the store, but in the end it worked out and the designer approved their choice.
The new collection has two mottos that seem to contradict each other. First, it is “Energy and Light”; second, in the words of the creator: “There is no light without darkness.”
What is overly emotional in the presented clothing models is emotionality, although of course they are usually quite extravagant and not intended for everyday life. However, there were also models in the collection that were not too flashy and more subdued.
The color scheme is quite traditional: after the classic Rossa Corsa, i.e. black and silver were added to the bright red color. Fashion experts paid attention to this detail: accessories in many sets included impressive gloves, reminiscent of the gloves worn by Scuderia mechanics at pit stops.
Another point that evoked associations with racing was that models of both sexes demonstrating the new collection walked along a special ring-shaped path located between the rows of spectators – on a race track, cars also speed between stands full of spectators.
Anyone interested can easily find a recording of this show on YouTube, but there are no racers on screen. However, they say they were hiding somewhere behind the scenes…
