Head of Ford Motor Co. Jim Farley insists that the investigation into Red Bull Racing chief Christian Horner should not only be concluded, but that he should inform the team in a letter, a copy of which was obtained by the Associated Press.
In it, Farley formally expresses his dismay at “unsubstantiated allegations of inappropriate behavior by a director of Red Bull Racing” and points out that 11 days after Ford was officially appointed engine supplier to the team from 2026, a request for information was submitted to Red Bull . about the progress of the research.
However, Red Bull is still not disclosing the nature of the allegations and the investigation was initially described by the company as an internal matter. But then it was about ‘an aggressive leadership style’, but now there are reports of sexual harassment.
“As we have previously emphasized, Ford’s values are non-negotiable, even though we have not received a satisfactory response,” Farley wrote. “Our partners must share these values and demonstrate a genuine commitment to them – this is a primary requirement.

Of all Red Bull’s partners, only Ford has openly expressed concern about the investigation into the Horner case, and the group’s management has already informed the Austrian company of its position. However, Ford representatives declined to comment further.
Oracle and Visa, title partners of the two Formula 1 teams owned by Red Bull, also did not respond to the agency’s requests for comment on what happened.
A decision regarding the investigation into the extremely unpleasant situation is expected this week, but for the time being Horner will remain at the helm of the champion team.
As Farley writes, while Ford has no doubt the investigation is being conducted fairly, there is growing dissatisfaction within the company that there is still no decision or precise information on when a particular decision could be announced.
“We are also disappointed by the lack of full transparency surrounding this matter and expect a full report from you, our business partners, on everything uncovered during the investigation,” the CEO of the American auto giant said in a letter.
