Advisor to the President of the Russian Automobile Federation (RAF), Sergei Ivanov, called the International Automobile Federation (FIA) dishonorable at the opening of a new configuration of the Igora Drive autodrome in St. Petersburg.
The Igora Drive track was supposed to be the new venue for the Russian Grand Prix.
“The situation is such that we have difficulties. International competitions are now cut off for us, and that’s disgraceful of the FIA. They violated the Olympic charter by mixing politics and sport. Thus, we are forced to postpone the planned here for a while. But our sport will not die. I have noticed that when it gets difficult, for whatever reason, there is a breakthrough. Therefore, I am sure that the circuit will not be empty, – quotes the words of Ivanov Grandpx.news .
According to the FIA decision, Russian riders can be admitted to international competitions under a neutral flag on an individual basis.
