Helmut Marko mentioned the conditions under which Sergio Perez will receive an offer to extend his contract with Red Bull Racing for 2025. Red Bull’s motorsport advisor added that alongside Perez, the champion team is willing to consider the candidacies of Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, while cooperation with Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz is unlikely.
Helmut Marko: “Sergio is a complete team player, but he must consistently show results. It is clear that he will not always be able to perform at the level of Max Verstappen, but if he takes second place at the end of the season and takes one or two wins, then a contract extension for 2025 will not be a problem.
For Daniel and Yuki, the coming season will not only be about maintaining their place in Formula 1, but also about the possibility of moving to Red Bull Racing. This opportunity is given to the driver who will clearly dominate the team throughout the season.
Alex Albon? We are not considering him because he already has a contract for 2025. As for Carlos Sainz, he probably wants to make a decision about his future before we decide on our plans. We will do that after the summer holidays.”
