The International Automobile Federation (FIA) has decided to leave three sprint races on the Formula 1 calendar next season, according to RaceFans.
Previously, the media claimed that the number of such races could be increased.
It is also reported that the format for race weekends will remain the same as last year.
The rules for the 2023 season can be changed if a majority of 28 out of 30 votes for this decision. The votes are distributed as follows: one vote between ten teams, as well as ten votes each for the representatives of the FIA and the management of the racing series.
There are also three sprint races on the calendar for the current season, two of which have already passed. The third race will be at the Brazilian Grand Prix in November.
