Alpine is preparing for a difficult start to the season

Alpine team leader Bruno Famen said his team expects a difficult start to the season in Bahrain. Drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly are willing to do everything they can, but Famen emphasized that the engineers still have a lot of work to do to modernize the car.

Bruno Famen: “We are looking forward to the start of the Formula 1 season in Bahrain this weekend. The team had three productive days of testing last week, during which we learned and improved the A524.

We know we are in for a difficult start to the season. We take on all challenges, as they are part of Formula 1. It is important to do everything we can to develop the A524 in the coming weeks and months.

The car has good basic parameters, so we will be able to improve it throughout the season. I am very happy to see the unity of the team in recent weeks and months in achieving several results, culminating in the car taking to the track last week. We will continue this hard work to make further progress.

I know Esteban and Pierre are hungry for success and motivated to play their role in the development of the team. We are happy to rely on their professionalism and experience.

And one last thing. This weekend the drivers from Formula 2 and Formula 3 return to the circuit. We will follow with interest the results of Victor Martin and Kush Maini in Formula 2 and Gabriele Mini, Sofia Flörsch and Nikola Tsolov in Formula 3.”
