Hamilton: I’m doing everything I can to win

This weekend Lewis Hamilton will hold his 300th Grand Prix, although the Mercedes driver said at a press conference at the Paul Ricard circuit that he did not even know this. When asked what advice, from the height of his current experience, he would give to Lewis Hamilton, who made his Formula 1 debut in Australia in 2007, the seven-time world champion thought for a moment.

Lewis Hamilton: “I didn’t even know it was my 300th Grand Prix, but I don’t feel any difference, I’m in a good mood anyway. Honestly I don’t know what advice I could give myself…

We could probably have a serious conversation, but the important thing is that work, performance in races – all this should be fun. Time should not be wasted, it should be appreciated, because when you are young it seems to you that you will live forever, and this is very natural. That’s why I’d say, “Value the time, try to meet up with your family and friends more often, try to have something to remember later.” All this is very important. Stress should also be easier to handle.

As for the upcoming French Grand Prix, of course we try to make some improvements every weekend. I don’t know yet what awaits us this time, but we are constantly striving to change something in the car, adjust the work of the aerodynamic body kit, and I hope we can do something now too, and this will to add.

But most of the time we performed well at Paul Ricard, and I want to believe that it will be the case this time as well. Personally, I am doing everything I can to get the win because I believe that at some point in the season we will be able to compete on an equal footing with the leaders. But will it be now, this weekend or in five races?

For now I’m trying not to think about it because the important thing is that we’re moving forward, this process is underway. We didn’t start the season in the best shape, but we were able to make progress and more stability. There is not a single person on the team who would be willing to give up and give up, so we continue to hesitate.

I’m really proud of the way we work and this season has taught us a lot. Therefore, when we return to the level we deserve, we will appreciate everything that the team has been able to achieve even more.
