Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton said a Formula 1 team has yet to sign its Formula 1 racial diversity charter.
The initiative was proposed as one of 10 recommendations for change in the sport by a panel commissioned by the seven-time world champion last year.
“Formula 1 needs to do more. All teams need to do more. I think we are close to making this charter work. There is one team, still the same team, that does not want to participate. But I am happy to see that other teams are ready to step up and do the job,” quotes the words of Hamilton Crash.Net.
When asked if he would be willing to name a team that would opt out of the charter, Hamilton replied, “I don’t think it would be appropriate to name a team. They don’t want to for some reason, but the other nine teams did, which is really reassuring.”
