Red Bull team manager Christian Horner said he had cooperated with the investigation following allegations of inappropriate behavior and noted that at present he was fully focused on the start of the new Formula 1 season.
Earlier, Dutch publication De Telegraaf reported that one of the team’s employees accused the Red Bull boss of inappropriate behavior. The 50-year-old sent sexual messages to one of the team’s employees and then offered her around £650,000 (€760,000) to keep her quiet. Red Bull launched an independent internal investigation into Horner and he was acquitted on Wednesday.
“I do not comment on anonymous speculation, but I reiterate that I have always denied these accusations. I respected the integrity of the independent investigation and cooperated fully at every stage. This was a thorough and fair investigation conducted by an independent legal professional and resulted in the complaint being dismissed. “I remain fully focused on the start of the season,” Horner said, as quoted by GPBlog.
The Bahrain Grand Prix takes place from February 29 to March 2.
