The Sauber team has once again changed its name, but not its position in the protocol…
Valtteri Bottas (17th): “It’s great to finally start the season with two full training sessions. We learned a lot during the tests, worked with the settings, but there is still a lot to be done, especially in the fast lap. This will be our task for the coming evening and tomorrow’s training. The fight is exciting, a few tenths will decide everything in qualifying.”
Guanyu Zhou (19th): “I’m happy to be back on track during the official session. Today the conditions were very different than during the tests. We had some problems in the morning, but after lunch everything went smoothly – in the end we did everything we planned.
Now we concentrate on preparing for tomorrow’s qualifying: it is difficult to judge the real balance of power – we don’t know what everyone else was doing. Qualifying will be interesting.”
