Lando Norris starts seventh in Bahrain and is looking forward to the race with optimism…
Lando Norris: “We have a good car, which means we can do a lot, and our plan is to regain as many positions as possible. I didn’t manage to get a good lap in qualifying, but not everyone did yesterday. I did well until the last lap, but at the decisive moment I couldn’t get everything together.
Overall, I’m in a fighting mood today and I plan to enjoy the race. Although we don’t know yet how the car will behave over the Grand Prix distance, because I didn’t simulate the race at all and the longest segment I drove was no more than 13 laps.
But when the results are this dense, it’s hard to say whether we’ll be among the fastest or fall behind. However, now four to five teams are about equal and I include Red Bull in this group, so I foresee it will be interesting, and today a lot will depend on the choice of tactics.”
