In Bahrain, McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri earned points. The British team is happy with this start to the season and is counting on productive performances in Saudi Arabia.
Lando Norris: “The next stage will take place in Jeddah! We have started the 2024 season well and look forward to continuing this in Saudi Arabia.
After the Bahrain Grand Prix we highlighted a number of issues that we need to continue working on. All in all, a good start and we have a basis for further work. It’s great to get points in the first race of the season – let’s earn even more this weekend!”
Oscar Piastri: “I’m looking forward to returning to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. We are in better shape this year and it was nice to get some points in the first race.
The team has identified areas where we need to improve. We will try to achieve this next weekend. We will do everything we can to complete the double race series with two cars finishing in the top ten.”
Andrea StellaTeam boss: “We left Bahrain with twelve earned points, which can be considered a strong start to the 2024 season. Further afield, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is on a fast urban circuit, the characteristics of which are very different from those of the Bahrain circuit. This offers us a new challenge, but also an opportunity to learn something new about the MCL38 in a fast and smooth way.
I would like to thank everyone on the team again for their hard work, which allowed us to start the season with a good result. The team will continue to work hard to improve and achieve consistently high results.”
