On the first weekend of August, one of the most beautiful events of the summer is held on the Igora Drive circuit, which will certainly interest fans of speed and cars – Garage Fest.
Part of the festival program is a special thematic zone “Car culture”, where lovers of authoritative curiosities and anyone who is not indifferent to car culture will get acquainted with unique equipment usually hidden in private collections, restoration workshops and museum shops.
All exhibitors will be united by the theme of speed. Visitors will see racing cars, including quite rare ones, and spectacular sports cars, and a motorcycle zone will also be organized for lovers of two-wheeled vehicles.
In addition, guests can interact with like-minded people and listen to speeches from renowned speakers. A nice addition to the program is the arrival of rare cars on the modern track of the autodrome.
During special events, guests have the chance to exchange experiences, learn about the latest trends, join the automotive community and have fun in a unique atmosphere.
For two days, Avtokultura will house a lecture hall where famous people from the world of cars and motorsports will participate in discussions on the topics of speed and racing, rules for collecting and restoration, and the creation of Russian sports cars and supercars.
The teachers are welcomed by motoring journalist Sergei Znaemsky and the founder of the Russian BMI team, Alexei Milovidov. Speakers include car collectors Philip Fedotov, Gleb Rachko and Ilya Zibarev; Vladislav Nezvankin, driver and CEO of LADA Sport; Sergei Rykov, curator of the transport collection of the Polytechnic Museum; Andrei Leontiev, TV journalist, race car driver and traveler; the topic of car video culture will be revealed by popular video bloggers Igor Asanov and Stas Asafiev, as well as car journalist Vladimir Melnikov.
The educational program is complemented by an entertainment area with special activities, even for the youngest guests.
Nikita Muravinifounder of the Autoculture project, popularizer of car culture in Russia: “This year the exhibition will be held in a new format, as part of the Garage Fest.
Our project is growing and evolving, for us the confidence of the festival organizers on Igora Drive and the participants of our new initiative is another proof that we are on the right track.
Step by step, we are shaping the car culture in our country together and ensuring a caring attitude towards cars.”
Philip Fedotovico-organizer of the thematic zone “Car culture”: “We will keep the “original package” of the project and present it in a new way, preserving the brand elements of “Car culture” – an exhibition of rare cars, a lecture hall with participation of stars from the automotive industry and motorsport, special activities.
Last year the festival of the same name broke all records – both in the number of rare exhibitions and the number of visitors. This is really inspiring! I am sure that this year, with the support of Garage Fest, Autoculture will not leave anyone indifferent.”
Garage Fest on Igora Drive isn’t just a summer party of music and speed. This is a large-scale event where sports, culture, positive emotions and of course a good mood in the circle of family and friends come together. Everyone, regardless of age and preferences, will find something for themselves at the festival.
