Oscar Piastri: Not the easiest day

Oscar Piastri, summarizing the results of the training at the Jeddah track, has chosen not to make any predictions and is sure of only one thing: there will be fierce competition during qualifying. Lando Norris, his McLaren teammate, noted that there are still questions about the car’s behavior.

Oscar Piastri (9th): “To be honest, not the easiest day. At times our business has been good, at other times worse, so it is not yet very clear where we are. Certainly, tomorrow we must try to achieve some improvements.

Let’s see what we can do, but the results are very dense and we are somewhere in the middle. It seems that Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin are indeed very fast, but definitive conclusions are difficult to draw. We could just as well finish in the leading group or at the end of the top ten, as we are now.

I foresee a very intense battle tomorrow in qualifying and let’s hope we still finish closer to the front row.”

Lando Norris (12th): “A more or less normal day, the car leaves a slightly more pleasant impression than in Bahrain. But in some corners we had certain problems, we didn’t manage to achieve the right balance.

There are still a number of aspects that need to be followed up, although I think that overall the training went well. We have something to work on, but we can still say that the weekend has started well.”
