The crisis at Red Bull Racing continues to gain new details. The day before, Max Verstappen, commenting on the possible dismissal of Helmut Marko, sided with the Austrian specialist and made it clear that if Marko were fired, he would consider leaving Red Bull Racing.
Apparently the words of the three-time world champion did not make the right impression on team leader Christian Horner. The German Auto Motor und Sport reports, citing an unnamed team employee, that Red Bull Racing will continue to win, according to Horner, even if key figures leave for rivals and Ford refuses to cooperate.
“Horner seriously believes that Red Bull will be able to do without Verstappen, Newey and Ford,” the publication quotes one of the team employees. “He considers himself the architect of the team’s success.”
If we are to believe the rumors currently circulating in the Jeddah paddock, Helmut Marko’s suspension will be announced next Monday.
