Verstappen’s desire to leave Red Bull is linked to the acquittal of team boss Christian Horner, who had previously been accused by one of his employees of inappropriate behavior. Among the reasons is also the possible departure of sports consultant Helmut Marko from the team.
In this case, Verstappen could join Mercedes, where Lewis Hamilton’s departure to Ferrari would create a vacancy, and Max’s place at Red Bull could be taken by Fernando Alonso.
