Oliver Berman had a confident debut weekend in Formula 1, replacing Carlos Sainz in Ferrari. The young Brit made no mistakes and earned points in his first race. Oliver believes he has done everything possible to attract the attention of teams to sign him for 2025 and is looking forward to being back at the wheel of Haas this season.
“I don’t know what I could have done differently,” Racingnews365 quotes Oliver Berman. “I don’t think I will continue racing in Formula 1 until the end of the year, so the aim of this weekend was to show what I am capable of. I think I did pretty well. All I can do is keep attacking and crossing my fingers.
I will take part in a lot of early training with Haas this season. I’m looking forward to it, because I want to build a relationship with the team and ride a longer distance. Hopefully doors will open for me. It will be fantastic.”
Asked about his chances of getting back behind the wheel at the next round of the season in Melbourne, Oliver said: “Carlos seems to be recovering well and I’m happy for him. At the end of the day I’m driving his car, it’s his season and I think he’s doing well.”
