Athletistic/Formula 1. At the 2024 Formula 1 Saudi Grand Prix, Max Verstappen scored his ninth consecutive victory to extend his lead in the standings. Despite all the drama surrounding Red Bull off-track during the race weekend, the driver’s performance on track was simply unmatched. The Dutch driver dominated qualifying and then the same story repeated itself in the race. Once Max started, there was no stopping him.

The first safety car, which forced drivers to use alternative strategies, mixed things up a bit for everyone, but not too much. Tire degradation was not a problem and in the end it was Max Verstappen who took victory, followed by his teammate Sergio Perez. Charles Leclerc finished behind the Red Bull duo in his Ferrari. Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso complete the top five.

Saudi Arabian Grand Prix results

Max Verstappen continues to dominate

It’s no secret that Red Bull is going through a turbulent time right now, and Max Verstappen has also stepped into the situation. However, through it all, one thing hasn’t changed: his level of performance on the track. The Austrian team and the Dutch driver are performing at a brilliant level and we must pay tribute to them for their domination of the Saudi Arabian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Ferrari is firmly in second place

Charles Leclerc achieved the best result of the race on the last lap, and on old hard tires. This shows that his team definitely has untapped potential that is yet to be unlocked.

Ferrari produced the best car this year. At least the Italian team has left its pursuers behind and is now focusing on Red Bull.

McLaren, Aston Martin and Mercedes are one step behind

Aston Martin, McLaren and Mercedes did not pose a serious threat this weekend. Alonso performed well in qualifying, managing to take fifth place, but that was the best he could achieve.

The McLaren was painfully slow on the straights and the Mercedes was painfully slow on the fast sections. Overall, these three teams are one step behind Ferrari.

Haas improves under Ayao Komatsu

The 2024 Saudi Grand Prix is another example of Ayao Komatsu getting the best possible performance from a Haas car. The teamwork between Magnussen and Hulkenberg was very impressive. As a result, the team snatched a point and now finds itself in 6th place in the championship.

Oliver Birman shone, but Daniel Ricciardo failed.

Oliver Birman turned heads at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The young driver is a brilliant talent and there is no doubt about it. The way he handled the whole weekend will stand him in good stead when he returns to Formula 2 next.

But for Daniel Ricciardo, this Grand Prix was a shock. Not only was the Australian at the back, he simply wasn’t visible for the entire race. Finishing last and then spinning was not the performance Ricciardo hoped for in Saudi Arabia.
