Jody Scheckter has decided to part with his car collection and could receive up to £11 million.
The 1979 Formula 1 world champion with Ferrari, Jody Scheckter, has put twelve cars from his own collection up for auction at Sotheby’s, seven of which are “royal race” cars.
According to Motorsport, the main asset is the Ferrari 312 T4, driven by the South African driver who won the Belgian and Monaco Grands Prix.
In this car, he also finished first at the Scuderia’s home Italian Grand Prix at Monza, completing the double – Gilles Villeneuve then finished second.
Scheckter bought this car from the Italians in 1982. According to the source, the car is now worth 4.5-5 million pounds.

The total value of all the cars put up for auction by the former racer is 10.9 million British pounds.
