Magnussen: I have special memories of Melbourne

Haas F1 drivers head to Australia with optimism…

Nico Hulkenberg: “We are happy that we were able to achieve our first point in Jeddah this season. Everyone saw how much effort it takes for mid-tier teams to compete for a top ten spot, and teamwork was definitely a key factor.

Now I’m looking forward to Melbourne, I have positive memories of the Albert Park circuit and the special atmosphere around it. I am sure we will have another very exciting fight for every position.”

Kevin Magnussen: “Given its characteristics, the high-speed circuit in Jeddah was not particularly suitable for our car, but the weekend was positive. We were relatively competitive, especially in the race, towards the finish I was still riding at a good pace, which is our priority this season.

It is difficult to say whether we have solved our problems from last year – there are still a few races to go, but all signs indicate that we have made progress in this area.

It’s always a pleasure to come back to Melbourne – I have special memories of my first race in Formula 1. Albert Park has an interesting, fast circuit, it has become even faster after recent changes, but there are also slow corners, so I’m looking forward to the results of the weekend -enda. I hope we can be competitive on race day and score points again.”
