Valtteri Bottas answered four questions from fans, and not one of them was dedicated to the current, rather unpleasant situation the Sauber team found itself in at the start of the season. There is no doubt that there were questions about very unimportant results, but the Finn himself did not want to answer them, or they were immediately filtered out by the press service of the Swiss team.
But Valtteri tried to answer the four remaining questions.
The first, asked by a certain fan whose name remained behind the scenes, was this: “My wife even watched the qualifying of one of the Formula 1 stages during our wedding ceremony. I told her this was wrong, but she disagreed with me. Please judge us: who is right in this dispute?”
Valtteri Bottas: I intend to resolve your disagreements by saying that this is indeed normal. Why not? It’s just that the most important things should always come first.
The second question also concerned the sphere of personal relationships. The fan put it this way: “Three years ago I broke up with my girlfriend. You are a wise man. Can you tell me how to heal this wound?
Valtteri Bottas: (laughs) It always takes time to heal your wounds. At the same time, you have to be psychologically focused on the future, because when one door closes, another opens.
The third question concerned the scientific sphere, and here Valtteri honestly admitted that this was probably not his competence. And the question was: “I suddenly discovered that I made a very serious mistake while writing my dissertation, which has to be defended in a week. Can you help?”
Valtteri Bottas: You may need help, but you’ve come to the wrong place because I wasn’t very good at school. Try to look at things more broadly, find new ideas, then get to work and do it!
And only the last question seemed to have a sports theme, and even then indirectly: “I am interested in cycling, but I don’t like the uniform made of Lycra synthetic polyurethane fabric. What must we do?”
Valtteri Bottas: We have to change our attitude towards this form, try to make friends with it.
Bottas regularly trains for hours on a bike and wears this kit all the time, so he knows what he’s talking about.
