Giancarlo Fisichella, a Formula 1 veteran who also drove for Ferrari and then spent years driving Maranello-built sports cars in endurance racing, has already given his opinion on Lewis Hamilton’s prospects in the Scuderia, and we quoted him.
Having witnessed most of Michael Schumacher’s race and championship victories in his time, Fisichella was now asked what advice Michael could give to Hamilton, who will don the red Ferrari suit in less than a year.
“He would just explain to Lewis that this is an absolutely amazing, incredible team,” Giancarlo replied. “The atmosphere is slightly different to the British teams, and here it is more family-like. Lewis will immediately feel good and work well with the team. When a driver moves to a new team, it is very important that he immediately feels part of a big family.
Michael Schumacher was undoubtedly happy to see Lewis Hamilton driving for Ferrari from next year and perhaps winning the championship, why not?
