Novelties didn’t help Williams earn points in Paul Ricard…
Alex Albon (13th): “It was hard, but I enjoyed it. I was in the fight for most of the race, we were close to earning points. We were slightly behind in speed and actively loaded the tires to go at the pace of our rivals, but then everything went wrong.
We will study the data received and hope for further progress as we were fast in qualifying. We have to think about how we can achieve more in Hungary.”
Nicholas Latific (retirement): “There were a lot of positive moments in the race. The car was fast, I was able to fight against opponents I hadn’t fought all year – it’s fun.
I don’t think I’m to blame for the Kevin incident, it’s more of a racing incident. Shame it happened because we had a good pace. If we could have done more in qualifying it could have changed the situation, but it’s nice to be back in the fight.
After updating the car I am confident in my speed, we can say that for us the season will start again.
