Alpine driver Pierre Gasly has become co-owner of Versailles football club, which plays in the third division of the French championship.
Pierre is a big fan of the Parisian club PSG and regularly appears in the stands of the stadium during the team’s home games. Now his passion for football has led to the purchase of a minority stake in another French club. The exact percentage of the club’s shares now owned by the Alpine driver has not been disclosed.
Pierre Gasly: “I have always wanted to work at a professional football club, so I am happy to become part of Versailles.” Together with the other co-owners, Alexandre and Fabien, we share values, ambitions and a keen competitive spirit, which allows us to develop the club.
This is the beginning of a very beautiful story. Come on, Versailles!
After 25 games of the season, FC Versailles is in tenth place in the standings, with 8 wins, 8 draws and 9 losses.
