Oscar Piastri: “A lot will change for me this year in Melbourne. I came here for the first time as a racer in 2023. As a child I lived ten minutes from Albert Park, but I never competed in the track.
We didn’t have the fastest car, but they expected a lot from me. I tried not to pay attention to it, but I was incredibly happy when I got my first points in Formula 1 here. Although I must say that I was very lucky then.
This weekend our car should be much more competitive. Now that I have experience on track, experience from the weekend in general, I hope we can fight for a few more points. And the atmosphere this weekend will be completely different.”
