On the eve of the Australian Grand Prix, the FIA spoke of changes to the circuit and confirmed the location of four DRS zones with two detection points on the Albert Park circuit.
Compared to last year, the raised curbs at the exit of the fourth bend on the right in the direction of travel and at the exit of the tenth bend on the left in the direction of travel have been removed. A concrete limiter has been installed behind the curb at the exit of turn eleven.
Compared to last year, the DRS zones have not changed. The detection point for the second interval between cars for the first and second DRS zones is 40 meters after the sixth bend.
The activation point of the first zone is 130 meters after the marshal sector MS11 in the area between the eighth and ninth bends, the activation point of the second zone is 100 meters after the tenth bend.
The detection point for the third and fourth DRS zones is located 90 meters before the thirteenth bend. The activation point for the third zone is 30 meters after the fourteenth turn, and the activation point for the fourth zone is 30 meters after the second.
