Yuki Tsunoda thinks he can complete qualifying fairly normally, but not everything is going well in the races yet. But the Japanese Visa RB racer is confident he has a chance to challenge for the points.
Yuki Tsunoda: “I really like Melbourne, I love this circuit, I flew to Australia a few days ago and have already had many nice experiences, including enjoying the local cuisine.
Admittedly, until yesterday I was still feeling the effects of jet lag, but at least these two days I slept well and feel like I’m completely ready for the race weekend, and I’m in a good mood.
But it is still difficult to predict what results we can achieve; After all, this is only the third race of the season. Although I expect that we will be at about the same level as in the two previous stages, i.e. we will be able to fight for positions close to the top ten.
If the previous races had gone well, we could very well have earned points. We just have to do everything we can and coordinate everything, then we will do well in the race. We are still carrying out the qualifications consistently and with confidence, so we must continue to work in the same spirit and of course try to achieve improvements.
These are the challenges we face this weekend.”
