Charles Leclerc assessed Ferrari’s chances of challenging Red Bull Racing at Melbourne’s Albert Park circuit. According to the Monegasque, the balance of power among the leaders this weekend will not differ from what we saw in the first races of the season.
Charles Leclerc: “The chances of fighting with Red Bull are the same as in the first two races. We arrived in Melbourne more or less confident in our abilities. We expect approximately the same results as in the first two stages: an exciting battle in qualifying, but we will be slightly behind on the race distance. Let’s see what result is possible.
I have no doubt that the team is going in the right direction. We have done a good job not only in the previous two races, but also in the last six to seven months in terms of refining the car.
We have a clear picture of the direction we need to go next and what it will take to achieve our goals. We need to regain three to four tenths, which will be a serious step forward. The team is doing everything it can to close the gap as quickly as possible.”
