The head of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, unexpectedly came under fire due to criticism. The chairman of the Gulf Parliamentary Group on Democracy and Human Rights, Lord Scriven, accused him of unprofessionalism. He emailed Stefano several times about his concerns, but received no response.
“Mr Domenicali’s arrogance and lack of professionalism and commitment have left me with no choice but to initiate this debate and seek further regulation of Formula 1 and other British sporting organisations.
His leadership of Formula 1 is damaging the reputation of the sport because he refuses to deal with issues relating to human rights,” Scriven said in the British press.
For Scriven, the subject of Formula 1 is painfully important for some reason. Last year he wrote to FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem and received no response either.
