Team “Williams “at the Australian Grand Prix will be represented by a driver, an American Logan Sargent he will miss the rest of the weekend and his car will be donated Alexandre Albon from Thailand, according to the official Formula 1 website.
At the end of the first practice session at the Melbourne circuit, Albon lost control of the car and crashed it. The driver was not injured, but he had to miss the second practice session because Williams does not have a spare chassis for this weekend. The damage was too great and the team decided to give up Albon Sargent’s car.
“Not a single rider would want to give up their place.” I would never want something like that to happen. Logan has always been a consummate professional and team player from day one, and that’s something he will have a hard time accepting. “At the moment, however, I cannot dwell on this situation, and my only task is to maximize our potential this weekend and work with the whole team to ensure that we do the best job possible ” said Albon.
Albon scored 27 of the team’s 28 points last season.
The Australian Grand Prix takes place from March 22 to 24 in Melbourne.
