In the first practice on Friday, Alex Albon crashed the car and did not participate in the second practice. The team is thinking about how to restore it without having a spare chassis.
Alex Albon (12th in the first session): “The first training proved difficult and ended in an accident. I took the bend a little wider, mounted the curb and crashed into the barrier. I’m very sad.
This weekend our car is fast, it’s a shame I couldn’t participate in the second practice. We don’t have a spare chassis, the team is now trying to restore my car. We will know more soon.”
Logan Sargent (13th): “Compared to last year, the grip on the asphalt has improved, but in the afternoon the wind picked up, making the track unpredictable.
In general, the car behaves well with a small amount of fuel, it remains necessary to fine-tune the settings a little.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to fully work with a large amount of fuel – I blocked the Medium tires. But overall we are in good shape for tomorrow. We will do our best.”
