Daniel Ricciardo started the season poorly, but tries not to pay attention to criticism…
Daniel Ricciardo: “I didn’t expect to start the season this way. Last year in Budapest I got behind the wheel the day before the race, overtook Yuki and did great. In the winter we conducted a full-fledged pre-season program, I had racing experience behind the wheel of this car. To be honest, I thought we would start much stronger this year.
I understand that not only I, but also several other people wonder why things turn out this way. It’s important not to pay attention to criticism, not to let it go to my head, or get me off course.
Actually it’s going well, I’m just not happy with the results yet. But deep inside, behind the wheel, I feel good. I have to focus on myself. If I let in all that noise coming from outside, it will distract me from the path I’m on. It is important not to let negativity enter my life.”
