Charles Leclerc received an exclusive Ferrari Daytona SP3

It can be assumed that Charles Leclerc is not in the best mood at the moment, because it was not he who won the Australian Grand Prix, but his teammate Carlos Sainz. At the start of the season in Bahrain, the Spaniard was also the first to reach the podium, for whom 2024 will be his last with the Scuderia. And after the winning double in Melbourne, Leclerc literally said the following: “Of course I am happy, but especially for the team.”

Last year we remember that Charles began to reflect his experiences with racing in his musical works – by the way, then his first single was dedicated to a failed performance in Melbourne and was called AUS23. We don’t know whether inspiration will occur to him to immortalize yesterday’s Ferrari-winning double through music, but perhaps the recent purchase of another property can serve as some consolation.

Leclerc became the owner of an exclusive sports car Ferrari Dayotona SP3 – only 599 copies of this model will be built in Maranello. The uniqueness of this sports car also lies in the fact that it was made in a special version, taking into account the preferences of the famous owner.

The car is painted in a color with the beautiful name Nero Opaco, i.e. “matte black”, but the decor in the form of a red and white stripe runs throughout the body – these are the colors of the flag of the Principality of Monaco. The same stripe is on another of Charles’ cars: the Ferrari 488 Spider.

On both doors of the Daytona SP3 we see the number 16, under which Leclerc participates in Formula 1, and in the interior the driver’s signature is applied to the panel between the seats.

Ferrari has traditionally been known for being able to choose its customer base, and not everyone will sell a car of this model, even if they have 3 million euros. To own a Daytona SP3, you must already have two previous limited edition cars SP1 and SP2 in your garage. But an exception has probably been made for Charles as a Scuderia driver.

It is considered one of the most beautiful cars in the recent history of the iconic Italian brand, but it does not only impress with its external advantages. It is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters and a power of 840 hp, which can accelerate it up to 340 km/h. The car reaches a speed of 100 km/h in 2.85 seconds and 200 km/h in 7.4 seconds. In terms of dynamics, the Daytona SP3 may be inferior to a Formula 1 car, but not by much.
