After three Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton is only tenth in the individual rankings with eight points…
Lewis Hamilton: “This is the worst start to the season of my life. Worse than 2009. It’s hard for the whole team to see such difficulties, given the amount of work we did over the winter. Before the start of the season we came inspired, motivated and charged to fight thinking we could fight for wins, but then this didn’t happen.
Then you think, ‘Okay, maybe you can finish second or third,’ but that doesn’t happen and you fall further back.
It’s not easy. I continue to be inspired by the people I have worked with and continue to do everything I can to help the team. It is important.
Surprisingly, I feel pretty good. I try to keep things in perspective. It could be much worse.
I enjoyed my time in Australia and still enjoy working with the team. Of course I would like to fight for victories and finish the races. It’s disappointing to see the weekend end, but I know we’ll get back in contention and get there, we just have to keep working hard.”
