Qualification

After winning the Australian Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz took the third victory of his career – all with Ferrari. He won in UK’22, Singapore’23 and Australia’24. This is Ferrari’s 244th victory in Formula 1 and the 23rd since the switch to hybrid turbo engines.
Carlos surpassed 1,000 kilometers in the lead and 1,000 points in his career. This was the 150th Grand Prix in which Sainz finished. The podium in Melbourne is the twentieth of his career.
Charles Leclerc finished second and extended his winning streak to twelve races, the longest consecutive points winning streak of his career. This is the Monegasque’s 32nd podium, having finished in the top three in five of his last six Grands Prix.
For the first time since 2004, Ferrari won a winning double in Melbourne – then it was Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello. This is the 86th victory double in Ferrari history.
Lando Norris’s third place gave McLaren its first podium in Melbourne in ten years. In 2014, Kevin Magnussen finished second and Jenson Button third.
