As far as I know, Max is fully committed to fulfilling his contract with the team. I can’t comment on the rest because it has nothing to do with me. I am completely focused on my own decisions and tasks. I don’t see the point in talking about contracts without having an idea of what the situation actually is.
Considering the results, the team is in excellent form, which has been a long time coming. Everyone in the team works well together, all engineers are really a unit and that is reflected in the results on the track, in how efficient we have been in recent years. “I see no reason to change anything, but I am ready to lead the team if Max wants to leave, even though his departure will be a shock.”
Assessing his own results in the first two races, Sergio said: “I think everything is going well for me this year. I’m happy with the first two races and the direction I’m going. I especially liked the progress made after the first race.
The team and I have found the right rhythm and understand how to evaluate the work over the weekend and prepare for the next phase. I’m quite happy with the way the season has started. I think I can do better.”
