Sainz and Magnussen will start the French Grand Prix from the back row of the grid

Pilot “Ferrari” carlos sainz and Kevin Magnussen of “Haas” will start from the last row of the Formula 1 French Grand Prix, according to the series website.

The Spaniard had previously been penalized 10 positions due to the replacement of the electronic control unit. The 27-year-old, who finished better in the second free practice, said earlier that he could receive several penalties during the stage in France. On Saturday, it was confirmed that its powertrain would undergo a component swap.

Magnussen and Sainz will receive a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger and engine generator.

Sainz is fourth overall with 133 points, Magnussen (22) is 11th.

The Grand Prix de France will take place on Sunday on the Paul Ricard circuit.
