The British press reports on yet another rumor that Red Bull Racing chief designer Adrian Newey has received a generous job offer from the Aston Martin team.
Team owner Lawrence Stroll reportedly held negotiations with Newey during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, inviting him to move to Aston Martin. If agreed, Newey’s salary would be equal to the salary of leading Formula 1 drivers, in other words: we were talking about an offer of several tens of millions of dollars per year.
The answer Newey gave is unknown to the press, but last year the brilliant designer made it clear that he had no plans to leave Red Bull Racing. However, this was even before the Horner affair – it is believed that Adrian Newey is among the team members who believe Christian should resign.
The Italian press previously wrote that Aston Martin is interested in Max Verstappen and Adrian Newey. We will continue to monitor developments.
