Japanese Grand Prix: bets from bookmakers

Bookmaker William Hill has published betting odds for victory in the Japanese Grand Prix.

Despite retiring at the final round in Melbourne, Max Verstappen leads the betting on Suzuka victory. Bookmakers estimate the chances of the Red Bull Racing driver to be slightly more than eight times higher than the chances of his teammate and ten times higher than the chances of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.

Bookmakers’ bets: victory in the Japanese Grand Prix
Verstappen 1.20
Perez 10am
Leclerc, Sainz 12.00

Alonso 50:00
Strolling around 100.00
Ocon, Gasly, Albon, Ricciardo, Tsunoda, Bottas, Zhou, Magnussen, Hulkenberg, Sargent 500.00

After three races, Max Verstappen’s lead over Charles Leclerc in the individual championship had been reduced to four points, but this did not shake the bookmakers’ confidence that Verstappen would defend the championship title at the end of the season.
