The Formula 1 Festival starts in Tokyo

On the eve of the Japanese Grand Prix in Tokyo, the “Formula 1 Festival” began today, a very bright advertising event, the aim of which is to attract maximum attention to the upcoming race in Suzuka.

The festival is organized by Formula 1 together with the Honda Motor Corporation and everything takes place on the territory of the vast Roppongi Hills Arena complex.

The program is quite extensive; drivers and championship team leaders participate, and popular Japanese artists and music groups perform at various concert venues. Of course, such events are not complete without the demonstration of racing equipment from different eras, and in Tokyo you can see Formula 1 cars from different generations, up to modern examples.

A separate item on the program is an impressive light and sound show dedicated to the Suzuka circuit, presented by the Japanese art project Rhizomatiks.

Today, Ayo Komatsu, head of the Haas F1 team, and Ayumu Iwasa, who was in charge of conducting the first Friday practice session behind the wheel of a Visa RB car, have already spoken to Japanese fans.

On Wednesday the program will be more extensive: in the morning Stefano Domenicali, the president of Formula 1, former driver Jean Alesi, acting as F1 ambassador, Laurent Mekies, head of the Visa RB team, and Peter Bayer, the executive director, will enter the festival stage in the morning.

In the afternoon, Williams driver Logan Sargent and Alpine F1 reserve driver Jack Duane will address the crowd. And in the evening it is the turn of the main characters: the drivers of Red Bull Racing, Visa RB, as well as Frederic Vasseur, the head of the Ferrari team.

It is promised that ticket sales for the Suzuka race will be organized directly at the festival, although the best seats are most likely already sold out.
