It appears that Christian Horner has indeed achieved a tactical victory in the battle for power, and the situation within Red Bull is looking less like a crisis. But although Helmut Marko made it clear that the situation will return to normal, and we quoted his words, we can expect new twists in this story in the long run.
On the one hand, Horner has been given all the necessary powers and can actually single-handedly make all the important decisions related to the affairs of the Red Bull Racing team. On the other hand, according to AutoBild, the Austrian part of the Red Bull management is considering transferring the Formula 1 program completely to Horner and the Thai shareholders.
At the same time, the Austrians, through the foundation founded by Dietrich Mateschitz, will continue to sponsor football clubs in various countries of the world and the Red Bull Salzburg hockey team. But at least until 2029, the fund will continue to function as it has worked so far, i.e. it will support both Formula 1 teams.
In general, all you have to do is repeat the words of Helmut Marko: “This is a very complex subject that is difficult to understand.” If Red Bull’s motorsport advisor is to be believed, the issue of Max Verstappen’s possible departure from the team has already lost its urgency, but as AutoBild writes, this all bears little resemblance to the eventual world.
